don't stop believing. hold on to that feeling!

so i got my meeting w/ the bishop. i go to see him wed.
he's going to try and get a fill for me...which i hope he thinks i'm ballin'.
april and i also dyed my hair purple-ish-reddish....so that should be interesting

i went w/ the youth. it was fun....and exhausting.

insaenly busy week

...my appointment book has been filled to the brim this week.
it's nice to see that i'm keeping busy even without working so much.

i tried on bride's maid dresses for jennifer's wedding yesterday.



later that day i had the youth and it went very well....
then i FINALLY met up w/ joseph, like we always do for starbucks.
it had been too long.

currently i'm planning a birthday party for adam...hopefully with the help of my dear friend april.
life has just been jammed packed w/ excitement and i wouldn't have it any other way.

tomorrow i'm going to mike's friend joy to get my hair cut and my brows done. hopefully my hair will have some lift now and i can have some bang-age to hide some of my forehead.
i'm taking becca's advice and not dying it.

sunday youth

i had the youth by myself tonight. it was jam-packed of eventfulness.

let me back up...i had the youth to myself all day. sunday school....mucho fun, until all the youth minus 2 (enough for acolytes) left to go to one of the youth's parent's churches.
...later more showed up and we went to memphis pizza cafe.

tonight at youth...
i came in and the kids were watching tarzan with bryan,
then i had my lesson. i spoke from romans 8 and talked of how we are forever in debt to God and how when we go to worship we should not feel bad for not feeling 'full of the spirit' after church.
i explained how a lot of times we feel 'revitalized' after a retreat or camp where we're being pumped full of awesome christ-ness and surrounded by all these awesome christians...and how sometimes that fades.
it's okay to feel rejuvinated in the spirit....but worship is not about us as christians and what WE get out of it.

i explained that it's about giving of yourself to God.
i related the lesson to the song 'i'm coming back to the heart of worship, cause it's all about you, it's all about you jesus'

i also explained how being a christian isn't easy and it's not supposed to be.
then related it to...
'for i consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us'
-Romans 8:18

my friends fuss and mike came by to play basketball w/ the boys since they were short players...
so all in all it was a great evening!

winter...

wow. i did not realize it's been so long since i've updated.
i got the job at the church and i love the kids. they keep me on my toes. still trying to get mom and dad in on the whole blogging thing.


michael, aaron and myself had some people over for new year's eve. there was tons of food & becca bought some stem wear for us to drink our sparkling blueberry/grape juices out of.

i'm leaving soon to go skiing with the youth. i've never been skiing; i'm kind of nervous.
....currently on a mission to take down the christmas lights that are on the house.


also. i've forgoten how much i love discussing theology and the future of the church...or as i put it to rob.
i'm young, i'm crunk, i've got the faith...
changes are coming and i hope churches are ready for them...cause i'ma bringing them
