well as most of you know i live with the rachiele's. they have been eating and as far back as i can remember pretty healthy...well now they're taking it one step further and getting rid of preservatives and high fructose corn syrup.

well today i went out to lunch with the staff from eumc and we usually go to garabaldi's buffet, well today we went to danvers. not only is my belly aching but i smell like i've been dropped in a vat o' grease.

i just wanted to indulge and eat a burger. oh well. i'm trying to be healthy as well. i packed a yummy lunch but...i just couldn't resist the chance to chat w/ steve a bit.

currently missing cuddles from my dear sweet dexter.

rachiele dinner

living with the rachiele's is nice. the biggest draw back is that i don't get to cuddle with tabby and dexter anymore.
i like having the opportunity to sit down and have a family dinner at least once a week with them (the rest of the week i'm out late)
i kinda miss the friendship mike and i had...it's just not the same and i'm trying to work at us being friends. inviting him out to lunch and asking to hang out and calling and txting but there's just no luck. oh well :-(

tonight after basketball adam and i are going to shooting competition...from which i have to excuse myself to open up my gym and then return.
tomorrow night we attempt to make our first pot roast. yumm.

church politics

so my boss reported that it's not like us church workers to enjoy conflict, confrontation and such. it's not in our nature (hence actually answering the call to the ministry)...
however with all the drama that takes place in the church i sometimes wonder just how cut out for it some of us are.

maybe i've become apathetic to it but i remember when i first started there were people and things and people saying things that just got under my skin.
we all know the type.
the people that have grown up in that church since they were yaaaay high and the church has always done it like this and so on...
those people, who have been there longer than you have.

those people eventhough the boards and commities and offices have either interviewed you or appointed you to your position STILL think they reign over you.

some days i think...now if we all banned together and told those people to plop off their high horse and where they can shove their opnions how wonderful that would be...
...however none of us do, we ignore them and just accept that being annoying and thinking they know it all is just in their nature

...because it's not in ours to tell them they really don't know everything and they do kinda suck at life.

spring

well....where do i start.
1. i love spring.
okay, now that i've gotten that out of the way.

this morning i set off the alarm at the church. i had to call a staff member to ask for the alarm code. well now that i've set off the alarm i need to know the safe word...crap what's the safe word.
i asked the alarm people if i could just call them back at 8:30 when the rest of the ppl got to work and they said sure....well they said sure AND sent out 3 police cars.
i also had to use the bathroom so i was not avoiding the cops as they rang the door bell i just REALLY had to go.
i get to the door and tell one of the cops what had happened and that if they too wait until 8:30 someone who knows the safe word will tell it to them.
i assured them i had not broken into the church to do paperwork.

in other news i'm trying to buy a house, which involves me dealing w/ my parents which means it's a very .....it's a process.
i keep asking adam if he wants to wait until we're married for us to buy the house together but with the tax credit and the housing market being what it is, it's just smarter for me to go ahead and buy one now.
maybe we'll move when he's done w/ PT school, maybe not, we're not sure yet.

currently putting together a program for pre-youth (middle-jrhs ages) so that's fun and canidacy is well on it's way to certification.
health insurance goes into effect april 1st so that's wonderful and living w/ the rachiele's is great as well.
